if you use internet explorer do the following:
go to ->tools -> internet options
you will see delete cookies, temp files & history.....delete all!

@Shaniqua21
Or you can use ccleaner which I use every time I shut down.
There are three builds available,I use the slim build which is english only and has no toolbar.

@justy
As you already know,but in case other members may not know is that ccleaner has a registry cleaner which I consider benign in comparison to other registry cleaners.
Here's a link for CCleaner Beginner's Guide.

@Shaniqua21
You're very welcome.
ccleaner has many features,including,but not limited to deleting URL history which is the feature that I like.
Don't confuse temp files with temp folder which ccleaner dose not delete.
http://ask-leo.com/can_i_delete_the_contents_of_my_tmp_folder.html
Also,I don't recall if under the windows tab>auto complete form history is checked,if it is checked it will erase your passwords.
