I just wanted to say that keyloggers are not always bad. I have one on my computer so I can monitor what my 13 year does on the computer. I love mine!

so you run a key logger in hopes of catching her in the act on something huh? why not just run some kind of blocking software then you dont have to look over lines and lines of key strokes.

I haven't been able to PM anyone, so I'll ask publically here.  (well, to the she-geeks!  YOU ROCK!)

I do want to remotely install a keylogger program, but chances are my target will not download an .exe file... unless I can create an e-greeting card of some sort and make it look like it's come from another friend.

I read a suggestion of sending the target to a link and do it that way.  Can someone explain this process to me?  I'm user friendly, but becoming more of a geek everyday!  Smiley

Well you also have the option (usually) of sending it as an .scr file which is a screensaver, so you can say you made a screensaver your sending and it's really the KL. The other option is if you have a webpage or server space where you can upload the KL. If they click the link it will silently download in the background.

Mmmm. I meant more on the technical side. I am at a level of HTML that is paleolithical, so I would not know how to add the "download something and install it yourself" while clicking on the link...

well those instructions would be included in whatever program you are using to create the KL. then you would just upload it your site. mask the link with html and send via email or post on a blog or something. for more advanced url masking read here:

I have searched the forums on here and on the web and apparently there is so much info out there - some worthy and some crap.  So I shall ask the brains here...

I am looking for a keylogger that will allow me to remotely deploy it, will run on vista and will be completely hidden.  Oh, and preferably not an .exe file but a .scr.

Here is where I need your help - has anyone had any luck with any in particular?  I read that perfect keylogger worked well, but read many reviews that it wouldn't launch on the intended computer and since that is what I am looking for, I would rather not waste my money on something that won't do what I am looking for.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
