Who else uses your pc? Anyone? Could it be a friends fake? The likelyhood that the kid has a trojan on your pc and would rather use your browser to log into myspace rather than his own equipment-well that's pretty far-fetched and very unlikely. When you went to log in before you started typing-what that little hi message say? Was it your username or someone elses?

Yes, that would indicate at some point, that person used your browser to log into myspace from your pc.

If you reformat it will removed the keylogger but be sure to backup your data. I learned that the hard way one time. Have you tried hijack this - just a thought Smiley

Girl that's a drastic measure to take. As I said earlier it's very unlikely the kid hacked you so he could sign into myspace from your pc. More than likely there is a time you're just not remembering when someone had access to your pc. Also, are you using a wireless network and is it secure? Before doing the complete reformat, run a few virus and ad scans. AVG, AVAST, Threatfire, Adaware, Spybot, Super, HijackThis are all great programs and are freely available on the net. Unless of course your PC is brand new and you don't have a ton of programs you will have to reinstall-then the reformat might actually be easier.

I agree with Jewels.. a complete format of your PC can be a drastic measure to take...depending if you have a lot of programs and/or settings configured to customize your machine.

Not to state the obvious, but have you checked for a physical keylogger on your PC?  Its generally attached between the keyboard and the PC.  I discovered one on a PC at work one time... that was fun *sarcastic*

Here are a couple additional resources regarding keyloggers:

Keyloggers:
http://www.2-spyware.com/keyloggers-removal

How do I Remove a Keylogger?:
http://www.tech-faq.com/remove-keylogger.shtml

As for posting the Hijack This results, feel free to post a thread ("Hijack This Results" or something similar) with them on she-geeks.  I'm sure there are many users out in the "ether" that are ready and willing to help.
 Cool

Yes I agree with swytch, we can help analyze hjt logs if need be. However, if you are posting a Hjt log on a forum-pay attention to the paths that list your documents and settings folder. Often they include your name. If that is the case, remove your name and replace with XXXXXX before posting on ANY public forum-here or otherwise.

Also-before running hjt, rename the executable. Something like hey.exe or whatever. Sometimes certain viruses are written to recognize the hjt executable and are able to hide themselves from it. Renaming it before running the program can help to avoid this. Once you're done you can put the name back to it's original state.
