Is anyone on here knowledgeable about this?  I am trying to figure out if a) these are real and b) if they can be tied to a phone number, not an actual phone.

Hey, rb9398.

The link below seems to me to be the only plausible way a person can monitor a cell phone these days.  Its a thumb drive that reads info from a SIM card, so doesnt work with Verizon.  Snags current and deleted texts, all stored info like address books, calendars, etc.
But someone must have access to your phone.  They need to take out your card, plug it into drive, plug drive into USB port and then download or read it, and then reinstall your card into phone before you find out.  Of course, it cab be useful to secure an old SIM card to get deleted data, too.

Check out the device here: http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/sim-card-reader-cell-phone-spy.html

Hope this helps, and interested to know other cell spy techniques.
