anyone know to tell if you've been blocked on facebook?

is there a way to find out if you've been blocked on facebook or if that person deactivated their account?  I found this online but it's old:

any ideas?

Just a couple I know of:

*If you have any message threads in your inbox between you and the target, the reply box will not be present if you are blocked.

*If you are blocked, you will no longer be able to see any wall posts made by the target.

*Target will not show up in search (which can also just be a result of tight privacy settings)

a couple other ways, though this relates to the search one:

if you know their IM name or e-mail, you can enter it into your IM or your e-mail address (hotmail is preferable) and do a 'find people you may know search'.  Another way is to know some friends of theirs and visit the profiles to see if you can find ANY wall posts by the target.
