That must be why "deleted" fotos on FB can still be found on the site that hosts the photos.

So, when snooping about, make sure you save the "http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/vXXX/208/97/XXXXX/n_XXXXXX_XXXXXX_4636.jpg" url.

Wow, Facebook is really starting to UNimpress me.  This TOS debacle is just getting funnier by the minute.  this just showed up on my home page

Today we announced new opportunities for users to play a meaningful role in determining the policies governing our site. We released the first proposals subject to these procedures – The Facebook Principles, a set of values that will guide the development of the service, and Statement of Rights and Responsibilities that governs Facebook’s operations. Users will have the opportunity to review, comment and vote on these documents over the coming weeks and, if they are approved, other future policy changes. We’ve posted the documents in separate groups and invite you to offer comments and suggestions. For more information and links to the two groups, check out the Facebook Blog.

let the users vote?  ummmm OK yeah thats smart.  Poor facebook lawyers are probably pulling their hair out by now

Actually, FB is probably aware that only a minuscule number of members will give some input on such policies; and yet, because the option is there, FB will claim that its policies are "democratic." So, I think the joke is on us.

Are you deactivating your account because you are concerned about Facebook's Terms of Service?

This was a mistake that we have now corrected. You own the information you put on Facebook and you control what happens to it. We are sorry for the confusion. See http://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=54746167130 for more information.

Apparently people are deactivating their accounts because of this.  Doesn't surprise me.
