I've noticed now that the profile pics don't have a letter at the end to change to n to make it bigger.  Is there another way to see them bigger?

roxy,
I still see either a "q" or an "n" on profile pictures ("q" is for thumbnails). can you give us an example of the type of url to which you refer?

Thanks!  I've noticed on some profile pics that the direct link to the pic is something like: profile.ak.fbcdn.net/vXXX/XX/XX/nXXXXXXXXX_XXX.jpg  and that picture is the same size as the one on the user's facebook page.  It's too small to be the original, unless I guess, they themselves resized it, but I've noticed it on a lot of unrelated pages.

I noticed this when they changed the profiles a month or two back.  If you search for someone, then right click on their picture from the search function, you get the picture info without the 'n'.  If you click through to their profile, even if it's a private one, THEN try right clicking on the profile pic, you should get the old style format with the n or the q.  I think!  It seems to depend on the page their thumbnail is showing up on.

I tried it, and I see what you mean.  But I've noticed that the profile pic with the n is the same size as the pic on the profile page, and doesn't get bigger anymore.  Huh?

I see what you mean, now....I tested your observations on my target's profile picture, and saw that the profile picture on the profile is smaller than the profile picture in the "profile pictures" folder (target has a public profile, so I can see both). I tried messing with the url, but couldn't come up with any way to make the smaller picture, bigger. Sad

Aww, that's too bad they changed that.  That was a good trick.
