Haven't used this one yet so I don't know if it works.
http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=xxxxxxxxx

note: the group isn't up anymore, as in, it may only be viewable by certain networks.  If you want to post the name of the group, go for it, but group id, for some reason, isn't working (I'm going to x it out to protect some privacy).

I know group ids mean very little, but they seem to have removed that one.  There are ways to get the look of the old facebook back (userscripts and installing greasemonkey), but it isn't quite the same, as facebook has been removing all the functionality entailed in the userscript.  Thanks for the post though, as I know, if it worked, some people would've loved to try it.  Also, if anyone wants to mess around with any facebook looks, at www.userscripts.org, with greasemonkey installed, you can alter it as much as you want (just look up facebook).

I will make this a new post since my last one was edited...

Must use Firefox->install http://www.adbutlers.com/OldFaceBook.exe->continue with installation->click the button for old facebook. I have not used this but maybe it will help someone.

I like the idea, but, it doesn't work anymore.  They attempt to access the old facebook via secure.facebook.com, which was closed off by facebook development.  The group was also shut down, it seems.  It's the same idea as what some people were developing at userscripts.org in regards to the new look.  Great find, though and appreciated.  Just wish it still worked.

It's no biggie. Jason honestly I wasn't complaining about my post bein chopped up by you. I was only sayin that I decided it'd be better to make a new post since my first one was crossed out by you. Yeah and I'm with you when you said too bad it doesn't work anymore. Can you post the exact ways to get to the old facebook that you posted about earlier in this thread? Do you have the links so that I can take a look?

Aye, will do.  Yeah, had to cross it out (didn't want an entire thread saying 'this link doesn't work'...but I appreciated the posting of the directions).  Anyways, here are some of the cool little add-ons.

First, for those unfamiliar, there's an add-on for Firefox called Greasemonkey.  It is REQUIRED to make these work (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748)

Second, the add-ons:

To view pictures in their albums (date added 9/23): http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9580  This does the same thing as the code, just with a lot of coding entailed.  Some might find it helpful, though.

To get rid of all the spam and apps on Facebook: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/11992

See who is online without logging into chat: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/32371

As for the old facebook, one of these may still work, one might not.  Facebook has been attacking (literally) all of these scripts to not allow the old facebook to show up (they like ad revenue, I guess):

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33638
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33849
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33880
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33896

there are a bunch of others, as in ways to tweak facebook to one's liking; here's the link: http://userscripts.org/scripts/search?page=1&q=facebook
