I think I figured out why captcha is required sometimes after entering your ms login info. It's related to the ip you are using. If you login with same successive ip...no captcha is needed. But once you go to another computer and try to login it will ask for the captcha. This can help determine if some someone has your login info. This is the pattern I've noticed recently. Anyone else noticed this yet?

That's very clever. I'd been wondering about that, but hadn't figured out any correlation. Good job!

I have experienced this as well. Kinda like when I try to log into my bank account...if I am not at my home or my office, it will have security questions its asks. I kinda like it...

It might not have anything to do with IP changes. I just tried logging in to my fake from the same computer/ip as I usually do, and got the captcha requirement. So it may be a random thing.....Hopefully....Otherwise, MS Tom might have discovered that my fake is a fake! LOL

It's a tip off if your account has been stolen. I don't know precisely how great a change is required, but I imagine anything greater then a class b will do it. If your ip is dynamic it probably has a different ip each day anyways.

Dunno....After I made the previous comment, I logged in to my real MS, and got the captcha again. And my IP is not dynamic.  Huh?
