Fake Profile Was Found Out...

I have a fakespace and I accidentally requested to be someone's friend who recognized the picture I had set as default but knew it wasn't belonging to the profile I created.  Does anyone know if they can trace the fakespace back to me?  I instantly deleted it but the fear still remains.

Not uncommon I mean being found out that is! Did the person you request know your email or the fake accnt email I ask because maybe they would have searched the email..

But Im going to say no I really don't the person is going to investigate that deeply I think you'll be fine especially if u deleted it immediately, I understand why u may feel that way though

No the target can't find out other than doing an email search as mentioned by gia. Hopefully you didn't use your real email addy to make it/or they don't know your email addy if you did. Other than that there is no way for them to find out any info.

They don't know the e-mail address I used and the profile has been deleted completely off of Myspace (it says it might take up to 48 hrs and it's already been removed and no longer accessible.)  I didn't even use the girl's name or location on the Myspace Profile, so I don't think she would even have a case if she decided to pursue.  Also, she posted the pictures I used on the internet, so she put it in a public place accessible to millions. 


Anyway, thank you so much for your help!  It really helped ease my mind.  She-geeks is an amazing site, thank you for all the time and effort you put into this site:)

I replyed back saying that my brother knew him a very long time ago! He said O ok well hey yada yada.. I may sound naive, but, if it's an ex, just send him an e-mail saying you really hate talking on the phone...if it's a guy you like, um, call him...what's the worst that can happen?  He finds out who you are and is flattered you went through all the trouble to find out about him?  Sorry, from a guy's perspective, unless you have a malicious reason (which would be interesting), I'd say just call him.  Again, I'm assuming a little...

But Jason, This guy right here Is not my ex nor do I like him. My best friend had an ex who found out was pregnant and was accusing him of being the father when he was not (and he was sure), but the real dad (the myspace guy) was denying it too but he knew that it was his in a way.. Well the mother was going pyscho on all of my best friends bf and that pissed me off.. He finally got fed up and did a paternity test and it came out that it wasn't my best friend, that It was the other guy and I just wanted to see (on his myspace) that he finally accepted it and the pyscho mother did too. Haha Yea I know weird situation

ahh, sorry.  As I said, I assumed, which is a bad thing (we all know the saying).  A lot of people, it's an ex or some person they like, etc., which is why I made my comment.  I apologize, profusely.

I think that you just need to delete that profile, I'm not sure how you would get out of that one. Unless you ask him how calling him would make him remember better? And say why would you lie about something like that?

Any who, quick question: Its been over a month since my fake profile was found out, is it still possible that I could get in trouble legally?

Well first of all aren't you pretty sure they don't know it's you since you used another email? They can assume it's someone else or maybe they don't even care. Like the others said don't sweat it. There's no need to go around worrying about this at all. Seriously

i agree with spunken. also, no one goes out and presses charges on bullshit. know what i mean?  they may threaten & pretend they are, but its very rare.
