I noticed that the target I added as a favorite last log on never changes and I know that there have been new log ons.

The same applies for page source, though it does seem more reliable but seems to lag new last log ons

If one goes to my space not logged in and uses myspace.com/xxxxxxxx

Will any of the show a hit on the targets profile.

@tomron:

If you go to the targets page you can possible be tracked if there is a tracker inserted in their headline...even if the page is private. There are other threads here that discuss trackers and possible ways to see if your target has any.

I would think that if view source says the same date as the last login it would be correct

yes you can find codes to change the last login but it dooesn't really change the date

how do you know your target has logged in?

Again please remember the myspaceIM glitch. It intermittently does not update last login if the target logs in through IM and then opens their act in the browser. It goes through periods where it updates and periods where it doesn't. You can test this very easily by using the IM yourself to login and see if it updates your profile (if you haven't logged on yet today that is).

Just because their home page says a particular date doesn't mean its accurate. I have a code on my profile to allow me to put whatever date i like. there is a thread here somewhere that shows ways to hide things and manipulate things on your page. Ill try to locate it. Maybe you can do a search.

I'm unfamiliar with IM and was unaware of this.

Will using myspace.com/xxxxxx while not logged on show a hit on the targets profile

Good ole software.  :Smiley

Thanx, but I'm not trying to change things on my profile.

Yes, and will produce a track also if they have a tracker.

Remember though as pat stated in another thread. If you are still in the same browser session, it will only record the hit on their counter one time. So it may not be as bad as you think. However, if there's a tracker there, the tracker will pick up all of them (depending on how good the tracker is).

You're right,its not so bad.

I guess I was getting greedy and trying to find a way that there would be absolutely no hits. Wink

I noticed that the target I added as a favorite last log on never changes and I know that there have been new log ons.

Favorites does not even show the last login. Instead it shows this:

First Name: xxxx
Orientation: xxxx
Motive: xxxx
Gender: xxxxx
Age: xx
Location: xxxxxxx
Profile Updated: xxxxxxxxx

You are confusing the profile updated time with last login.

The only way to view pages without adding hits is via myspacemobile. But it doesn't show last login...yet.

I wasn't logged onto my space when I tried this.

I tried mobile I and II

myspace.com/xxxxxx

It did show last log on

Last Login:8/28/2008

While you are logged into myspacemobile--if you run this url "myspace.com/xxxxxx" it will take you to the regular myspace site. So you were not still in myspacemobile when you ran that url (myspace.com/xxxxxx). But you were officially still logged into myspacmobile, and that can be seen if you backpage. When you see the blue navigational bar--that means you are in regular myspace.

Every profile you view will show the last login date via myspace. They can change their last login date like tootie and freezy told you when they were trying to give you a tip. Even if you didn't need the tip --it helps the other members who are reading these threads because they learn things from other peoples posts/tips. Smiley

Also as Jewels said, people can login via myspace IM and it wont update their last login. However, it will update their last login once they hit the "home" button.

tip: if you are savvy enough, there are ways to bypass hitting the home button via myspace IM. You have to run direct urls in the address bar for different actions you want to do on myspace. Thats a whole other thread in itself.

I guess I was getting greedy and trying to find a way that there would be absolutely no hits. Wink

Currently, you are not gonna be able to view last login on anypage without adding a hit to their profile. Like I said, myspacemobile is the only way to view a page without adding a hit on their profile view counter. But myspacemobile does not show last login...yet.
