MSPLink Decoder and MSPLink Encoder

mspbypass.com/index.php?page=tools

If you are unaware of what msplinks are--here is a clip from a random page on the web.
It first quotes a message from "Tom"--the owner of myspace.
And then is followed by a comment by someone:

“Hey everybody, we just launched another program to stop dirty spammers from hasseling you. When you input a link in myspace it may be converted to a redirect link. You’ll start seeing them around the site. They look like this: msplinks.com/adsd9f. These links are legit and we are creating them. They are not viruses or whatever else your conspiracy theorist friends told you. They still point to their original url, but let us easily turn off links to spam, phishing, or virus sites. booyah!”

comment:
"It’s nice how Tom insults your conspiracy theorist friends as well as mentioning “those dirty spammers”. Tom, you are the dirtiest spammer of them all…how ironic."  -worstofmyspace.com/2007/03/13/myspace-messaging-problems/

There are little sneaky things that you can do with msplinks Wink

A big downfall to this is--for people who don't convert the links--they can be phised real easily or collect viruses because they can't see the real "target url" in the status bar.

A good habit to have on the Internet is to hover over a link and look at the "target url" in the status bar (at bottom of browser) so that you can see what the link is and make a decision if you want to proceed with clicking on the link.

Well myspace converted most non-myspace urls to msplinks for myspace users "safety" but it has actually probably lowered the safety of novice Internet users that are totally unaware of phisers and infected links.

Once more, before you ask "How do I phise?"     Your answer: Google is your friend.
We are not gonna tell you exactly step-by-step how to phise or haq.
Take the time to read up about it.

Also there is firefox extensions (addons) that will convert msplinks automatically.
What is the link for that Jewels?..my favorite add-on Queen Wink

Sorry to say but the FF dedicated addon is dead. You can use Greasemonkey with one of Adrian's awesome scripts. Or there is a bookmarklet available.

Go to that page--mspbypass.com/index.php?page=tools

Decode or encode the msplinks.

Better yet, use Jewels' tip to make all msplinks go away:

You can use Greasemonkey with one of Adrian's awesome scripts. Or there is a bookmarklet available.
