I saved it late last year, my browser only keeps like 90 days I think.

Thanks for the link!  That will come in handy.  It didn't work on this pic though since it's a personal pic.

I figured something out!  Cheesy  I looked at the image url's on random profiles and they start pretty similarly c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/imagesXX/XX/image-name so I fuskered the XX's and used the image name I had and it worked!  It didn't take too long since it's only a few variables.  I'm not sure if I can find the profile from the image url, but it works to find that image again and find the enlarged version!

I've heard this works:

http://download.cnet.com/Wondershare-Streaming-Audio-Recorder/3000-2168_4-10888129.html

Instructions here:
http://www.download-streaming-video.com/streaming-audio-recorder/download-myspace-music.html

It's only a 15 day trial. If you like the way it functions you can then find it on rapidshare and torrents sites. Just remember to vscan anything you DL from those sites.

There is a recent greasemonkey script I just found that will add a link to the original large pic of any thumbnail on myspace, and open it in a new window.  Even if the pic is private.  http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/46269

I just tried it. All it does is enlarge the picture and give you the http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/103/l_xxxxxxxxxxxxx.jpg url. I was hoping for an album and image ID. Sad

You can get the ID's from the thumbnail if you right click the thumbnail and select "copy link location".  Then paste it into a text editor.

I don' think you can for the profile picture if target's pictures are set to friends only.

I don't know if it works on every thumbnail.  But the right click works on 2.0 where they have an activity stream with photos in it.  Even if they are private.  I don't know what to do with the ID info after that.   Huh?  But I have been able to get some ID's that way.  I don't know if it works for profile pics.

this is pretty much just a general question:
I saw in a previous post that you could block non-friends by using a photo (no longer working) or add a "friends" id to a bot for more friends.
I am looking for ideas to just mess with someone by myspace, or any other ways - anyone have any good ideas?

or like here might be an idea...knowing the password for voicemail and changing it on them??  hmmmm, interesting.

Nothing illegal per se, but I am sick of getting stepped on and walked all over...using public photos in a comical way...
and maybe this isn't the place to ask, but I thought I would try since there have been some pretty devious posts elsewhere!
Thanks

Rae,

Don't know about myspace, but if you wanna mess with someone, how about signing them up for spam? Or searching on google by their email address so with time they get tons of spam? Smiley

That will only last a day or so before they discover an issue and reset the pw. However, if you know the VM PW an even better option is to use http://www.gotvoice.com/ to have their VM sent to you via email. Be sure to check around the options if you sign up for the service to be sure that the forwarded VM's don't get marked as heard and archived from their end. And of course, create an alternate email address to use for this service just to be on the safe side.
