Here is a strange story- I had a friend (I'll call her Nancy Jones) and I was on her friends list. I later noticed I was no longer and she told me she was no longer on Myspace. I later typed her address "www.myspace.com/nancyjones fictional) and there was indeed someone there but it looked like someone in a different state. Later Nancy and i had a bad fight and I went there again- I wondered if it was her after all. There was some stuff on the blog that was on the previous one and the signup date was before she added me! However the friend id number is changed.  Anyway to get info on this? I don't want to give you guys stats on her or ask her myself. But what do you think?

if she said its deleted, find out when...she has to approve the deletion via email for it to be gone. also, it could take a day or so. if its been awhile, then she didnt delete it. you said the friend id is "baffled"...what do you mean? does it match or not?

Was her old profile, public and popular? Spammers used to steal them for advertising as I believe Google ranked them the same way as they do websites.

I saw someone get their location moved and the page changed to said they were in some web tv show now but it was completely untrue.

she could have closed the account and reopened it with the same URL. but if the numbers changed, then the previous one, was closed.

I think my "friend" may have had an extra myspace page and transfered her stuff to it after it closed down, then gave it the same username as the old one....either that or it's a different person. Sure looks fishy though.

There is no way to change the friend ID of an account on Myspace but I dont know what is up with the signup date. It could be that she had a spare account as well as the one you used to be on for awhile now. Then she closed that one & changed the myspace url of her spare one to the url that she used to have on the account that she closed.

Or maybe its her fakespace? There are a lot of fakespaces out there used for whatever purpose (I don't judge...I have one also).

Anyways those are the best guesses that I can come up with. I wouldn't worry too much about her though  if she wasn't really the friend that you thought she was.

username's are not reuseable. They are unique. If you close down your account, you will not be able to signup at a later date with the same username/url....and neither will anyone else.

so while you're saying you looked up her myspace url.....myspace.com/nancyjones fictional......i'm saying there must be some minute difference in that and the original url she used....because she wouldn't be able to use the exact same url twice.
