Myspace Last Update

This is a topic about the Myspace Last Update Date/Time.
Some facts and tips.

More importantly, this thread is focused on what DOES or DOESN'T change the last Update shown for profiles on Myspace. What changes do we make that affects the last update shown? What Changes can we make that will not affect the last update shown? The last update time/date is a factor for some users, not all. Everyone has different reasons and needs.


Fact: Since the recent change of the myspace navigation bar, the last update is currently no longer displaying a profiles' last update time/date.  In fact, the last time I checked, it shows very little-next to none-info about a profile. (besides its default pic, and myspace url)...Perhaps myspace decided to not display any "personal" information available to ALL users? Possibly.
Tip: The favorites and a users blog page will display their last update information.




Post changes that you can make on a myspace profile and post if that particular change DID or DIDN'T affect the last update time/date on a profile. 

Example: Changing your myspace profile song via myspace---DIDN'T affect update time/date.

-Arranging pics around in your myspace album does NOT affect the last update time/date

-Deleting a picture from your myspace album does NOT affect the last update time/date

-Changing your myspace profile song does NOT affect the last update time/date

Changing your mood or status does NOT affect update time/date.

ex: status im at home or if you write whatever you want

NOTE: just keep in mind that even if changing your mood or status doesn't change the update, if someone is keeping on eye on it they will notice the change and know you have logged in and/or have updated your page. Mood & status will show if your page is public or private

Great tip to take into consideration Sometimes its easy to overlook that when working so hard to perfect your profile. One time I had everything exactly the way I wanted it on a profile and I overlooked a small detail and goofed it all up. lol

Just tried a couple of things.

Adding a photo will change your update.

Moving around your 'top friends' will not change your update.

Not sure if this thread is dead or not, but did a couple of things today and checked on them:

-Changing your default profile pic will show an update.

-Changing your headline will show an update.

I changed/added some 'details' ("I am here for', 'Height', 'Body type', etc.) on one of my profiles and it DOES change the update time/date.

I changed several of them at once so I can't say for sure that it applies to all of the detail categories but I'm going to assume for now that any change to "personal info:details" changes your last update time.
