hey all
i have a possible problem with my log in just now.
i went to log in as usual and my avg warning popped up saying it refused to allow me to enter the sight cause of potential threat - i noticed the url was something like
http://Http://home.myspace
.... and wondered if that was wrong? i never really looked at the url after i logged in or during logging in. should i be worred? if so what can i do? i ran adaware but didnt do anything. should i reinstall spybot or is it something else?
thank you

hmmmm.....suspicious. always make sure the URL is
http://www.myspace.com
phishers usually have the URL that sounds similar to the myspace.com, such as login.myspace.com etc. change your password just in case. sounds like avg warned you of a possibly "phish threat", which is good. i think you are fine, just change your password
remember to check the URL if you are suspicious

thanks justy - i made sure i typed in
www.myspace.com
and got to the log in screen. after i entered my user name and password is when the url changed to home.myspace... is that the normal url when logging in? i honestly never looked lol. but i will change my password - just scared to log in at all right now..
* i just went to change my password and it said new passwords cannot be more than 10 characters in length.. does that seem right?

yes, hun. that is normal after you login
just not before. after you login it should something like:
http://home.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user
so, you are fine. no worries. go ahead and login -you're okay

aww thanks gator! no problem! yes, the password popup that you got is normal. i get it all the time, bc my normal passwords for other sites are about 15 letters, characters, & numbers combined!! lol! so when i go to change my password on myspace, i forget that theirs is limited. so, once again, you're okay & its perfectly normal!
