Well let's see - back in the day - when I happened along MS I was like "woah what is this? I can make my own webpage?"  This was a huge improvement for me over what was "Hometown AOL" - do they still have that??? LOL

So I got hooked b/c I got to play around with stuff like html that I had never used before. It was fun to a tech thirsty lady. Then of course I started getting all these friend requests from hot guys (and this was before the phishers and fake profiles and crap-it was when real people used myspace) so that was a little incentive to stick around. I think the hot dude factor seriously masked all the glaringly missing usability features. Then of course the ability to get to know peeps in my local area and elsewhere,  that I otherwise would never encounter was pretty cool. But for a long time, I was on myspace by myself. Meaning - just me and the people I met on myspace. It took quite a while for my circle of friends to catch onto it and start joining, but once they did it became much more fun. But the fun faded quickly as more and more crap began from the spammers and phishers. By this time my tech-savyness had been bumped up a notch, and now myspace was the source of a bunch of "help me" phone calls all the time.  Add to that, the player boyfriend who was whoring himself on there, which kind of turned me off a bit! LOL So in a matter of like 2 years time it went from a fun toy to a PIA. I rarely use it now - as my friends can attest by my lack of comments.  I'm into learning other things, and would much rather use a real email to keep in touch with my peeps back home. So at this point in time-myspace is mainly for snooping when I need to, and for testing out new codes.

I used it because all my friends were on there. Then it became flooded by spammers. Now that I've found this site I have another use for it. Lol.

To keep an eye on my enemies.  Wink
And what better place? A popular social website with so many flaws!
One day I'll create a real myspace for normal reasons lol. Until then I keep a fakespace in handy situations.

i use to just use to keep in touch with old friends you know normal stuff but i closed my account a long time ago i don't want my business in the street even if i had what was what i thought to be a private profile. but now its more of a keep your friends close and your enemies even closer kind of thing.
