Ok, heres the deal, got my hands on a nice Dell, Apparently the comp used to belong to a hotel chain of some sort and prompts me for a login pass after hitting ctrl/alt/del. I tried getting in through set up etc, and IM just blanking. i know there is a way to bypass and clear the login but I am forgetting how. Suggestions, tips hints are appreciated.

@Thewrathofodysseus

You didn't mention what your OS is.

On the log on screen hold  CTRL+ALT and press DEL twice

If this works check this link to Bypass The Windows XP Log On Screen

Here's another link you can check out.

I missed that,I'm a little rusty its been awhile since I dealt with computer help forums.In fact I even made a conscience decision some time ago not to deal with computer help forums anymore.I was to the point that I was doing CNET 24/7

Thanx,When I used to suggest the second link in help forums in the past I always received positive feedback for it.

see if this works (I briefly scanned over the article so I dont know if it works)

sumit-hackworld.blogspot.com/2008/07/hacking-windows-xp-sp2-securityget-into.html

whooooa. thats really getting technical. i dont believe most folks even understand the terminology. i would recommend just using the easier method. just sayin'. Wink

use the bypass method on the cracking/bypassing passwords board.

@Thewrathofodysseus

How did this situation turn out for you?

I recall another similar thread @ http://she-geeks.com/forum/windows/getting-past-ctrl-alt-del/
