I've had enough problems with windows on my old computer...I'd be terrified to try the new one, unless it is very un-Vista like...

In my last life I believed in reincarnation but I don't think I do in this one.

I tried 7.build.7106.Ultimate the other day for the first time and it actually had a Dell 620 small form factor that had XP on it running a lot faster. I didn't really have a lot of time to play with it before I had to wipe it (work), but really liked the initial, albeit short test drive. Comments I've heard have been mostly positive.

I'm going to try to get my hands on a MSDN version to play with in VMWare.  I still won't trade my XP box for ANY other version of Windows.  I have had it with VISTA!  Grrrr..  my Vista box died on me the other day so I built a new box..Hell with fixing the Vista right now.  Punishment for the little devil..  Cheesy

With that said, Win 7 is said to be a streamlined Vista.. something more to the tune of somewhere between XP and Vista.  I imagine its the same trick they pulled on users when they put out Win 2000..then Win ME (epic Fail).  Put those together and you get a beast like Win XP pro.  See the pattern?

Long live Win 3.1 For Workgroups!  Tongue  (just kidding guys..no more flying toasters)
